Thoughts on Neitzsche

An experiment in villanelle composition by Sean P. O. MacCath-Moran

Braggarts oft offer obscurity;
  Shallow speakers strive to distract.
Profound speakers provide clarity.

True intents hidden through committees,
their primary plot can't be tracked:
    braggarts oft offer obscurity.
Sometimes blunt, but recurrently witty,
  their communications ever exact:
    profound speakers provide clarity.

Persuasions based on hate or pity,
seeking some weakness on which to act,
    braggarts oft offer obscurity.

Perceiving only the nitty-gritty,
caring much more for truth than for tact,
    profound speakers provide clarity.

When seeking facts or something pretty
ponder well the author's planed impact.
Braggarts oft offer obscurity.
Profound speakers provide clarity.
